ALIENS VS PREDATOR II

I really enjoyed the previous one and I really looked forward to this one. I thought the idea is great to create a death match between two of the most popular movie monsters in history. It came with a spectacular tagline too... about how two of the monsters collide and human beings just stand in the middle, as baits. For the firt time, human beings are not so powerful anymore. Well the first show was great and triggered our imagination. Set in the artic region, the environment did send us the chill especially when the action took place in the dark corners. With the predator being more advanced and civilised, it seemed certain that it has the upper hand against the aliens. All those gnawing, biting, flashing or sharp teeth, versus ancient weaponry, beeping time bomb, slashing, punching, and kicking. It was fun while it lasted. I saw the second episode about two weeks ago. it uses a different environment - in a small town, surrounded by lush forest which is perhaps the most striking difference and the star of the show. But somehow the drama, excitement and anticipation is gone. Towards the middle of the show, it seemed like wrestling match between the monsters, a ride to nowhere. Who do you want to root for? It is crazy when the filmmakers create action for action sake... without thinking how would the audience relate to all that "crap"? They are not humans, and who are we supposed to root for? And everyone in the movie dies.. even the beautiful babe. AVP2 is a real disappointment... i thought such things will never happen again. How can people made a bad movie these days when everything that they need to make a good movie is at their disposal... What more is there to reveal about monsters and their ability. Where is the storyline... and where does the movie leave the audience in the end? That is the main question.
